Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your purchase and use of FilmBench. By installing or buying a licence you agree to them.

Effective 9 June 2026.

Who you are agreeing with

FilmBench is published and sold by GISCollective Software UG ("we", "us"). These terms form an agreement between you and GISCollective Software UG. Payments are processed by our reseller, Paddle, as described under Payment.

Licence

A FilmBench licence grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the app on up to the number of machines stated for your licence (currently three). The licence is perpetual for the version you buy and includes updates we choose to provide.

You may move your licence between machines you own. You may not resell, sublicense, share your licence key publicly, or attempt to circumvent the licensing or activation system.

Free trial

FilmBench offers a 30-day free trial of the full app so you can evaluate it before paying. After the trial it continues as a free tier that captures JPGs but locks film selection, camera controls and film conversion. The trial is provided "as is" with no obligation to purchase.

Payment and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, billing-related enquiries and remits applicable sales tax and VAT. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change for future purchases.

Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Because a free trial lets you evaluate FilmBench before buying, we ask that you confirm the app works on your setup during the trial.

Acceptable use

You agree to use FilmBench lawfully and not to use it to infringe the rights of others. You are responsible for the images you create and process with the app.

Warranty disclaimer

FilmBench is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every camera or system configuration. Hardware and camera compatibility is described on our site; check it against your gear before buying.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of FilmBench is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data or images. Keep your own backups of your work.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the effective date above reflects the latest version. Changes apply to purchases made after they are posted.
